Detail itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Night train to Lao Cai
08:00 Pick up at the lobby of the hotel in Hanoi transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for the night train to Lao Cai

Day 2: Sapa – Suoi Ho – Ma Tra – Ta Phin (12 trekking, 4-5hour trekking)

You are welcomed by guide and driver at Lao Cai train station and transported to Sapa, having breakfast at the hotel or local restaurant before walking about 12km along the mountain trails or main road to visit Suoi Ho, Matra and Taphin villages which are inhabited by Black Hmong and Red Dzao tribes. Along the way we can come in some schools as well as tribal houses to have experience of local Sapa life. Moreover, the landscape, culture, custom and tradition of Black Hmong tribe of Suoi Ho and Matra villages are preserved from tourists so you can study the raw things here. Picnic lunch will be served on the way. Arriving at Ta phin village of Red Dzao people in the late afternoon, checking in the home stay and then you can join into some activities to help villagers such as planting vegetable in the garden, growing or harvesting rice, teaching English for children. You have dinner and stay overnight at local (B,L,D)

Day 3: Ta Phin – Ta Seng – Mong Sen – Tacko (13km trekking, 4-5 hours trekking)

After breakfast, we start our trek ascending a dirt trail through this mountainous area. Enroute you have many opportunities to enjoy the spectacular views over rice paddy terraces and cornfields. You will then take a break for a pinic lunch at the nice cave. You then continue to trek forward to Mong Sen, a unique village where you will meet the Black Hmong minority people, two of the largest ethnic minorities in Sapa. You can observe the two groups living their traditional way of life with no cultural exchange. By interacting with the locals and visiting their houses, you will experience the cultural differences between these two minority groups. Return to Sapa by car in the late afternoon. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Cat Cat – Sapa – Lao Cai ( 6km trekking, 3hour trekking)

Breakfast at the hotel before having a hike on a dirt trail through rice terraces, we cross through non-touristy village of Y Linh Ho. We keeping going down hill to Cat Cat village, it will be great chance to enjoy the beautiful landscape and scenery along the route. Upon reaching a waterfall and a hydropower, we will take a short rest for watching local music performance before continue our trek on trail to visit Golden Stream where you can swim in summer time. After that you will follow the roand to walk back Sapa (B,L,D)
