Brief description
Fansipan itself is an attraction of Sa Pa area as well as Northern Vietnam. The peak is a part of Hoang Lien mountain range, which is under the protection of Hoang Lien National Park. The trip offers you an opportunity to explore the beautiful nature. It often takes 3 days to get to the peak and back. The top is accessible year-round to anybody, so long as they are in good shape. As there are no mountain huts on the way, tents and sleeping bags are provided. Our porters carry the equipment and food. This trip offers very basic, roughing it conditions! No ropes or technical climbing skills are needed, just endurance and plenty of energy.

Detail itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai

Our trip starts with an overnight train journey from Vietnam, s capital city to the border town of Lao Cai. The accommodation for tonight will be in soft sleeper berths on the express train.

Day 2: Sapa – Ham Rong Mountain – Ta Phin Village – Sapa (9km trekking, 3,5 hour trekking)
Upon arrival in Lao Cai, you will be met by your guide and they will accompany you on the 38km drive to Sapa. This morning our exercise involves climbing up Ham Rong Mountain for a panoramic view of Sapa and its environs. After lunch time we drive out of tonw and commence an hour long walk to Ma Tra Village, home to distinctive Black Hmong minorities. We are back to Sapa by car and you stay overnight at the hotel in Sapa Town.

Day 3: Sapa – Tram Ton Pass – 2,800 M (0,5 hour driving, 6 hour walking)
You are having a couple of interesting days waiting ahead. You travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall. You will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam.
From there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views. The trek will be relatively soft until lunchtime. After a couple of hours of hiking, you will have a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a good lunch.
With new energy you start ascending as well as descending towards the campsite. En route you have many opportunities to enjoy the scenery and magnificent views to Sa Pa area and beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province.
You will arrive to the campsite at 2800m ASL in the late afternoon. Now it is time to relax and enjoy a well prepared dinner.

Day 4: 2800m – the top of Fansipan – Tram Ton – Sapa – Lao cai – Hanoi (1,5 hour driving, 7,5 hour trekking)
After having breakfast, we climb to the top, where we can celebrate our victory. From here, we can enjoy the best view to beautiful sceneries before descending. On the way we stop at a nice spot for lunch.
After lunch, we start our journey back. We follow the trail as well as stone steeps built by Hoang Lien National Park until we meet our car, which is there to take us back to Sapa. Arriving in Sapa, you have shower and dinner before being transferred to Lao Cai for your night train to Hanoi
